dtw Marketing Research Group Privacy Policy

Success in any business is dependent on the trust of the consumer. Our customers expect DTW to deliver quality products and to deliver these products in a timely manner. They expect us to be honest and forthright. And most importantly, they expect us to have their best interests at heart.

Trust is not freely given, nor should it be taken lightly. It must be earned—every time someone opens a web page, answers a survey, places an order, or calls with a complaint.

At DTW Marketing Research Group, we understand your concerns about privacy. We want you to feel assured that your information is safe with us. This document explains what information we consider private, how we safeguard your private information, and with whom your private information may be shared.

Types of Private Information

DTW recognizes three types of private information. Each type is fundamentally different and requires a unique approach to ensure its safety.

We take extra measures to safeguard each data type, such as storing different types of data in different places and allowing designated DTW personnel to view and use only the types of information relevant to a specific operation.

How DTW Collects Private Information

DTW only collects private information via secure web forms. Please understand that you may not be able to access some Materials on the Website without providing certain information (for example, we would need your name and email address to include you on an e-newsletter).

DTW uses cookies and session tracking technology for security and site performance reasons, to enhance your user experience.

Who Collects, Processes, Stores, or Views Your Information

The information you provide to us is used by designated DTW personnel only, unless it is specifically stated otherwise. When this occurs, we will make our best effort to provide a link at the time of collection or transmission explaining what personal information will be sent, to whom it will be sent, and how it will be used.

We may use agents bound by confidentiality agreements to perform storage and processing of this data.

When you access a Third Party Provider’s Materials through the Website, DTW will provide information as necessary to the Third Party Provider in order to support features that you request from the Third Party Provider. As an example, if you place an order for a product through DTW, we will provide your shipping information to the Third Party Provider to support the order. We will only provide the information necessary to support the features you choose, and we will ask for confirmation before actually submitting the information.

How Private Information Is Used and/or Shared

Your private information is used in the process of providing features on the Website, customizing those features to your needs, and ensuring the quality and consistency of our products and services. DTW does not sell or rent personally identifiable information about our Visitors for marketing or other purposes.

Contact information is collected during the registration process and is part of a Visitor’s Registration Data. DTW requires this information to fulfill and track access to our databases, facilitate product recalls or other product support issues, notify the Visitor of product updates and changes in Website features, and facilitate communications between Visitors and our business partners. Contact information is also needed to access our more advanced site features such as CD Promo WorldWide.

Subscription information helps DTW customize our content and features to provide our Visitors with the best Website experience possible. Subscription information is also studied on an aggregated basis to estimate the size and composition of our audience. Disclosure of this information to DTW is completely voluntary. We do, however, encourage you to provide this information because it helps us optimize our services to your needs.

Transaction information is required for placing an order, obtaining a refund or credit, and tracking an order after it has been placed. DTW relies on a Third Party Provider to process credit card transactions and does not retain credit card numbers after the transaction is complete. We do, however, retain the last 5 digits of your credit card number in our order tracking system in order to facilitate refunds or other credit operations.

DTW also collects aggregate information regarding IP addresses and domain names from which our Visitors view the Website, the pages our Visitors view, and the links our Visitors select (also known as “click-through” information). This information is collected to help DTW developers maintain the Website and work with our Third Party Providers to better serve our Visitors.

There are other special circumstances by which we may be required to disclose a Visitor’s private information. These special circumstances are covered in the DTW Terms of Use.

Adding, Modifying or Deleting Your Private Information

DTW provides a way to change private information in the “Preferences” sections of the various applications on the DTW site. If you wish to have your Registration Data removed from the Website, please send email to the Website Caretaker at dtw@dtwresearch.com or contact us by phone.
